“The Wood House”

welcome to the Ruth Wood Memorial House for Missions,or as we affectionately call it, “The Wood House.”

The Wood House is nestled in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of Staten Island, New York. It is close to restaurants, pharmacies, and just across the street from Willowbrook Park. It is a 10 minute drive or bus ride from the Staten Island Mall, where you can find everything that you might need, including Primark, Costco, Starbucks, Macy’s, and so much more. It is only a 25 minute drive from Empire Outlets and the St. George Ferry, where you can take a free ride to downtown Manhattan. For your convenience, there are multiple bus lines that pick up just across the street from the house.

The house has rooms that sleep from one to six persons in comfortable new bunk beds with quality mattresses. There are two beautiful bathrooms on the second floor with sink, toilet, and tiled showers. On the lower level, there is a private suite with a TV and a porch with an exclusive entrance, also with its own private restroom and shower.

There is a common area with High-speed internet, and a fully equipped kitchen that has all of your needs to make all of your own meals, complete with a full-size oven and refrigerator.

The basement is equipped with a laundry room, with a full size washer and dryer, perfect for families on vacation.Guests may use the large front porch for lounging, or the large, 2-acre yard for family games or soccer or football. Also, there are multiple basketball goals on the church parking lot for use.The Wood House is perfect for short-term mission teams, intern housing for NYC ministries, Christian family vacations or “vision tours” of the City, or just a time to get away and pray in a new, stimulating, and comfortable environment.Rooms are reserved on a first-come/first-serve basis. There is free cancellation, up to one month before arrival, and a 75% refund up to seven days before arrival. 

You’ll not have the entire home to yourself and will probably share it with other guests. Only registered guests are allowed in the guestrooms.
